Abu Rmouz's family is waiting for the date of their son Jihad's session comes tomorrow, Thursday, which coincides with the deprivation of his first high school exam due to his arrest.
Jihad was arrested at two o'clock last night from his home in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan in Al-Mahalla, two days before the exams were scheduled.
The Jerusalemite Jawad Abu Rmouz and his family were surprised when large forces of occupation soldiers surrounded his house and violently stormed it with a TV camera, issuing an order to arrest his son Jihad and search his room.
"I accompanied intelligence agents and soldiers during the search of Jihad's room, where they confiscated his pants, shirt, and shoes before arresting him and taking him to Salah al-Din police station in Jerusalem," said Jawad.
The forces arrested Jihad, along with two young men, Harbi Al-Rajbi and Khaldoun Maher Sarhan, from the same neighborhood, and took them to the police station.
Jihad and the two young men, Harbi and Khaldoun, appeared yesterday in front of the Magistrate's Court judge, west of occupied Jerusalem, and the Public Prosecution charged them with participating in riots in Silwan on the fourth of this month.
Jawad wonders why Jihad was arrested on charges of participating in events that took place at the beginning of this month. Why did the occupation police wait more than two weeks to arrest him?
Jawad and his family live in a state of great anxiety and fear over his son Jihad, because of his arrest, coinciding with the date of the high school exams, which determine his scientific fate after 12 years of study.
Jawad feels very sorry for his son, who is eagerly waiting to take the exams, which are the only window to complete his university education.
He describes Jihad's arrest as a new ordeal that he did not expect, and the psychological pressure on him and his family, especially his wife, who has been crying day and night since his arrest.
The arrest of the student, Jihad Abu Rmouz, 18, coincides with the anniversary of the martyrdom of his grandfather Rushdie 31 years ago.
Jehad’s mother says that the arrest of her son Jihad came as a shock that she did not expect, as she was giving him time to study for the Tawjihi exams to achieve her long-awaited dream.
She added, "The occupation deliberately arrested Jihad at a time when he was taking exams to destroy his future because he had more than two weeks to arrest him."
"The occupation does not want our youth to learn and complete their studies, as part of the pressure they are putting on the residents of Al-Bustan neighborhood to displace and deport them from Silwan," the mother added.
She says: "We are really stressed and we eagerly await Jihad court session, and I am in pain for as my son id deprived of the first exam in high school tomorrow."
The student, Jihad Abu Ramoz, is studying at a school in Ras al-Amoud in Silwan and was arrested 4 times and detained for several days, before the last arrest.
