The US Embassy condemned Israel's destruction of the home of the perpetrator of Zaatrah operation Montaser Shalaby today morning. 

Channel 7 (Israel) reported that the US Embassy blamed Israel for destroying Shalaby's house as he has American citizenship. 

In the statement released by the US Embassy, the American administration believed that it was important to refrain from taking unilateral steps that might deteriorate the conditions in the occupied territories. 

It also noted that Palestinian houses' must not be destroyed because of one person. 

The Israeli government respects and appreciates the American administration. However, it works based on Israeli security interests and protecting Israelis' souls, a source in Naftali Bennet's office, the Prime Minister of Israel, commented on the US Embassy's statement. 

Itamar Ben-Gvir, a member of the Knesset, also attacked the statement and called on America not to intervene in the Israeli security policy. 

"Israel can defend itself and deter the enemies. I expect that Yair Lapid, the Foreign Minister of Israel, can clarify this to the Americans," he said. 

Channel 13 (Israel) stated yesterday that the American administration demanded Israel not to destroy the house of Shalaby as he has American citizenship.
