There are 39 Palestinian women detained in Israel's jail of Damon and they suffer from extremely difficult living conditions, reported the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
The commission said in a statement on Wednesday that the Palestinian women detained in Damon submitted several demands for the administration of the detention center to improve their living conditions, including removal of surveillance cameras, as they violate their right of privacy, and allow them to call their families, especially after depriving them of the visits under the pretext of coronavirus.
In addition, the female detainees demanded to improve the al-Ma'abar section of the Sharon jail, where the newly detained women are held in poor and inhumane conditions.
Moreover, they called for providing them with medical treatment, and not neglecting or leaving them to die due to their severe pains, as there are many of them need urgent and specialized medical follow-up.
The commission pointed out that these demands are submitted to the Damon administration for the tenth time in a row; however, the administration deliberately ignores them and gives nothing but words.
It also expressed its concern about the deterioration of conditions in the various Israeli jails, in light of the continuing repressive and oppressive policies taken by the detention administration against all detainees.
