A number of Palestinian press institutions condemned the Facebook administration's removal of Shehab News Agency page, describing it as an "arbitrary and unjust step against the agency, and in line with the violations and criminality of the occupation against Palestinian content."

They confirmed that fighting Palestinian content on social media is a clear violation of all international laws that stipulate respect for freedoms.

They called on international institutions working in the field of press protection and freedom to put pressure on Facebook  administration to reverse its arbitrary decision to remove the Shehab Agency page, which is followed by over 7.5 million.
