Saudi Arabian athlete, Tahani Al-Qahtani, suffered a humiliating defeat (0-11) in front of an Israeli judo competitor.

Al-Qahtani refused to heed the Palestinian call not to normalise Israeli occupation and meet an Israeli plyaer on the footsteps of other players: Fethi Nourine from Algeria and Mohamed Abdalrasool from Sudan.

For his part, the member of the Hamas International Relations Office, Basem Naim, said that his movement is aware of the pressures that Al-Qahtani was subjected to to accept Israel's competition in the Tokyo Olympics.

Naim added in a post he wrote on his Facebook account: "The challenge was big, but she lost the competition and lost her identity."
