Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou' said that the suffering of the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli occupation prisons doubles in the summer, and intensifies in particular with the continuation of the severe heat waves.

Al-Qanou' explained in a press statement that the so-called Israeli Prison Authority deliberately imposes restrictions on the Palestinian detainees during the summer and deprives them of their basic rights and requirements such as electric fans and so on.

Al-Qanou' called on humanitarian and human rights institutions to pressure the occupation to bring in the summer requirements and needs for the Palestinian detainees to relieve their burdens and suffering, which increases with the intensification of the heat.
