Occupation renews administrative detention for prisoner from Hebron for second time

The Israeli Military Occupation Court renewed the administrative detention of the prisoner Hatem Ahmed Sabarneh from the town of Beit Ummar, northwest of Hebron, in the south of the occupied West Bank for 4 months for the second time in a row.

Asra Media Office reported that the occupation forces arrested Sabarneh on April 13, 2021, after he surrendered himself to the occupation.

The occupation forces raided his family's house to arrest him and he was not in the house, and a report was left for him to surrender himself in Etzion, and the next day he turned himself in.

He added that the occupation court issued an administrative decision against him a week after his arrest for 4 months, and when it was nearing completion, it renewed it for a second time for another four months.

The prisoner Sabarneh is an ex-prisoner who was arrested several times and spent 6 years in the occupation prisons on charges of belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement. He was released from the last arrest last October after 20 months of detention under arbitrary administrative detention and he was re-arrested after 6 months of his release.
