Israeli occupation forces attacked today anti-settlement protests in the Nablus and Salfit in the northern West Bank, causing a number of injuries and suffocations.
Hundreds of citizens performed Friday prayers on the lands of Jabal Sbaih in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and then protested against the settlement outpost built on its summit.
The soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the protestors. The Red Crescent crews dealt with 33 injuries, including two with metal bullets, and 26 cases of gas suffocation.
Clashes also erupted after the occupation forces suppressed the protest that took place in the town of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, to reject the settlement outpost established east of the town.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation soldiers fired tear gas canisters, which led to cases of suffocation.
In Salfit, the occupation forces prevented citizens from performing Friday prayers in the Al-Ras area, west of the city.
According to local sources, the occupation forces assaulted the participants and prevented them from reaching the area threatened with confiscation.
