A human rights center condemned the violent attacks the occupation forces of Gilbou carry out against the prisoners through isolation and gas canisters.
It noted that section 2 and 3 of Gilbou prison witness a high level of tension since the six prisoners managed to escape through a tunnel in the predawn hours of morning.
The center said that the administration of the occupation prisons started to implement retaliatory procedures against the prisoners in Gilbou as they reduced the period break into one hour, closed the canteen, and closed the sections were the prisoners belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement and distributed them to other sections.
It emphasized that the policies and practices of the occupation prisons’ administration violate all international laws and principles related to the protection of the rights of prisoners and detainees. Most importantly, Geneva Convention and the Universal Declaration of Human rights.
It also warned of the discriminatory policies practiced against the prisoners in the occupation prisons and called on the international bodies, the Red Crescent, the Council of Human Rights and the United Nations to seriously act and provide the prisoners with the needed protection.
