Occupation sentences a Jerusalemite prisoner to 30 months in prison


The Military Court of Occupation issued a sentence on the prisoner Yassin Taha,19, from Shuafat refugee camp in occupied Jerusalem, to 30 months in prison.

Asra Media Office stated that the occupation forces had arrested Taha on February 11, 2021, after raiding his family's home in Shuafat camp, destroying its contents under the pretext of searching, and taking him to the Al-Maskoubiya investigation center.

The occupation intelligence charged the prisoner, Taha, with throwing Molotov cocktails and fireworks at the occupation patrols. After postponing his trial more than 9 times, he was sentenced to imprisonment for two and a half years, of which he has spent 8 months so far.

In this context, the Occupation Court in Jerusalem sentenced the Jerusalemite prisoner, Muhammad Walid Obaid, 24, from the town of Al-Isawiya, to an actual prison term of eight months.

The occupation had arrested the prisoner Obeid on May 4, 2021, knowing that he was an ex-detainee several times
