Al-Kaileh: We demand health supervision over the four prisoners, we do not trust prison administration’s story

The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaileh, called for supervising the health condition of the four re-arrested prisoners.

This came during a meeting held by the Minister of Health via video conference with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Palestine, Elise Dubov, on Wednesday, in the presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Unit in the Ministry, Maria Al-Aqra, and Nizam Ramadan from the Legal Affairs Unit.

Al-Kaileh said that the Palestinian people are very concerned about the four prisoners, and we call on the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit them and check on them and verify the conditions of their detention.

"The occupation has no right to be above the international community and international laws," she added.

She stressed, "We do not trust the information provided by the occupation prison authorities about the health condition of prisoners, especially the four re-arrested prisoners."

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Committee said that lawyer Feldman was able to visit the prisoner Zakaria Al-Zubaidi in Al-Jalama detention center. It was found that he was beaten and abused during the process of his arrest with the prisoner Muhammad Al-Ardah, which led to a broken jaw and others in the ribs.

The prisoner Al-Zubaidi was transferred to an Israeli hospital and was given analgesics only after the arrest. He also suffers from bruises and scratches all over his body as a result of beatings and abuse.
