The Israeli occupation court in Ofer renewed the administrative detention order against the detainee Youssef Qazzaz, 49, from Dura in Hebron, in the southern West Bank, for a new 4 months, for the second time in a row.

Asra Media Office stated that the occupation forces had arrested the candidate on the “Jerusalem is Our Destination” list, Qazzaz, on May 20, 2021, after storming his house in Dura and assaulting his wife and children.

The Occupation Court, a week after his arrest, issued an administrative detention order against him for 4 months and one day before the end of his sentence, the administrative detention renewed him under the pretext of the secret file for an additional four months.

It was pointed out that Qazzaz, an ex-prisoner, was arrested several times, and spent many years in the occupation prisons, between administrative and actual detention. He also was a candidate for the Hamas list in the Legislative Council elections.
