Israeli occupation renews administration detention of prisoner from Dheisheh camp for fourth time

The Military Occupation Court renewed the administrative detention of the prisoner Ahmed Al-Herimi, 35, from the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, in the south of the occupied West Bank, for the fourth time in a row for 4 months.

Asra Media Office stated that the occupation’s special forces arrested Al-Harimi on February 24, 2020 from his workplace in the Karkafa area in Bethlehem. His family was informed through the Red Cross that he was detained by the occupation.

The Ofer Military Court, on the recommendation of the intelligence, issued an administrative decision against him 10 days after his arrest for 6 months.

When his sentence is about to end, the Israeli occupation authorities renewed his administrative detention for the second time for six months. Then for a third for six months, and today his sentence is renewed for the fourth time in a row, so that he has spent 19 months in administrative detention so far.

It was indicated that this arrest is not the first for the prisoner Al-Herimi, but he was previously arrested several times and spent more than 5 years in the Israeli occupation prisons, part of which was in administrative detention.
