The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has mourned the martyrs of Jerusalem and Jenin; Alaa Zayoud (22 years), who was killed while clashing with the occupation forces in the town of Burqin in Jenin, and Israa Khuzaymah (30 years), who was shot dead at the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"As we mourn our heroic martyrs, we salute the families of the martyrs and affirm that the armed resistance against the occupation is the only way to stop its aggression and regain our occupied land," the movement said in a statement.

"We hail Jenin's resistance which continues resistance in our occupied West Bank and we affirm that Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain the compass of our people to protect it by all our Palestinian people," it added.
