Thousands of pro-Palestine activists gathered in Parliament Square, Westminster, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and to denounce what they describe as an ongoing genocide in Gaza by Israel.
The demonstrators responded to a call by the Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB), in collaboration with organisations such as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Friends of Al-Aqsa, and the Muslim Association of Britain.
“The British government, under the leadership of Keir Starmer, is not merely silent on these crimes but actively complicit by supplying arms to the occupier,” stated Zeinab Kamal, spokeswoman for the Forum.
The protesters demanded an immediate arms embargo on Israel, the imposition of sanctions on those committing atrocities, and decisive action to end decades of Palestinian suffering.
“The resilience of the Palestinian people is a beacon of unwavering determination. From the streets of London, we send a clear message to the world: achieving justice for Palestine is a moral imperative. We will not stop our resistance until Palestine is liberated, and those with blood on their hands are held accountable,” affirmed Adnan Humaidan, Acting President of the Forum.
The Palestinian Forum in Britain urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Foreign Secretary to uphold international law by halting funding and arms exports to Israel.
Protesters emphasised that Britain's complicity renders it culpable in crimes against humanity. The Forum also called for Israeli war criminals to face international justice and for an end to atrocities destabilising the region and endangering its security.
The demonstration concluded with a firm commitment to ongoing sit-ins and protests across Britain. The activists declared they would persist until justice is served, Palestinian rights are restored, and Palestine is free from the river to the sea.
