77% of Gaza’s Population Deprived of Essential Aid, Reports ActionAid

Riham Al-Ja'afri, Director of Support and Advocacy at ActionAid, revealed that 77% of Gaza’s population is not receiving essential humanitarian aid due to extremely limited supplies.

Speaking on Wednesday, Al-Ja'afri highlighted that the past three months have been the most devastating for Palestinians in Gaza, marked by famine, disease, a collapsed health sector, deteriorating shelter conditions, and an acute lack of winter clothing.

Israel’s blockade, now in its 18th year, has turned Gaza into what Al-Ja'afri described as "the largest prison in the world." The ongoing Israeli actions have forced nearly two million of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents to flee their homes, enduring extreme shortages of food, water, and medicine.

The dire conditions continue to exacerbate the suffering of the population, underscoring the urgent need for international intervention to address the humanitarian crisis.
