Documents Reveal British Arms Companies' Role in Gaza Genocide

Shipping documents uncovered by British outlets Declassified and The Ditch have revealed that British arms factories, targeted by pro-Palestinian protests, have been exporting military equipment to Israel during its 15-month assault on Gaza. These exports, linked to Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, are believed to include components used in the drones and missiles responsible for mass civilian casualties in Palestine.

Huda Amouri, co-founder of Palestine Action, highlighted the significance of this evidence, affirming that direct action against British complicity in the Israeli arms industry is vital to resisting colonialism and genocide. Over 64,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 2023, according to a Lancet study, while human rights organisations accuse Israel of committing genocide.

The documents further implicate other British companies, such as Instro Precision and Martin-Baker, which supplied components for targeting systems and military aircraft. Activists, some of whom face imprisonment, continue to demand an end to these shipments. Campaigners have called for a full arms embargo, insisting that continued exports make the UK complicit in the devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
