US President Donald Trump renewed his remarks about relocating Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries, stating that he discussed the matter with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi without clarifying Sisi’s stance.
This coincided with the return of thousands of displaced Palestinians in Gaza to the north.
Trump expressed his desire to move Gaza residents to safer and more comfortable areas, noting that the region has suffered from violence for years.
He previously suggested that Egypt and Jordan host more Palestinians, a proposal both countries strongly rejected, reaffirming their commitment to Palestinian rights and opposing forced relocation.
The United Nations also rejected any plans for the forced displacement or ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
