Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Wednesday expressed his rejection of U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to take control of Gaza, expel its residents, and displace them

. He described Trump's "expansionist ambitions and threats to impose tariffs on trade partners as arrogance."  

"No country, no matter how important, can fight the whole world all the time... This is something no human can understand," Lula said.  

He added, "It is the Palestinians who should take care of Gaza."
