Gaza's children fade away as the world watches in silence

In Gaza, hunger has become the silent killer. Beyond the bombings and the rubble, children are wasting away in their mothers’ arms, their cries muffled by exhaustion, their small bodies withering as food, water, and hope disappear. Every day, parents walk from one shattered clinic to another, clinging to life with no medicine, no bread, no milk—only despair.

The Israeli siege, tightening since October 2023, has turned Gaza into a graveyard for humanitarian principles. More than two million people—half of them children—are trapped in a cage of hunger, malnutrition, and disease. Once-vibrant toddlers now lie motionless, their growth stunted, their laughter gone. Even if food is found, it is beyond reach for most. Aid convoys are blocked, hospitals are crumbling, and international pledges remain little more than empty words.

UN agencies warn of a catastrophe, but Gazans don’t need reports to know they are starving. Parents like Mohammed Abu Tabeekh and Yasser Al-Khaldi watch helplessly as their children’s strength fades. Their testimonies are echoes of a broader truth: Gaza’s suffering is no accident—it is engineered.

While the world debates politics and legality, Gaza’s children are dying. Not suddenly, not loudly—but slowly, in full view.
