Global Outcry as Gaza Offensive Becomes "Genocidal Trap"

International voices are condemning Israel's assault on Gaza, with 380 writers and organisations labelling it genocide in a "Guardian" published letter. They demand an immediate ceasefire, unrestricted aid under UN supervision, and sanctions against Netanyahu's government if it refuses to comply.

Inside Israel, dissent grows. Former military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin and Reserve General Udi Evental warn the war has become a "trap," risking decades of economic and security damage. Meanwhile, French paper "Libération" highlights scathing critiques from ex-PMs Ehud Olmert and Ehud Barak, who accuse Netanyahu of waging an "illegitimate war" for political survival.

The financial toll is staggering 142 billion shekels (£30 billion) spent after 600 days of fighting, with Israel's deficit ballooning to 4.8% of GDP. As global pressure mounts, Palestinians endure relentless bombardment with no end in sight. The world watches, but will it act?
