Aid Centres Become Killing Zones as Israeli Attacks Claim 400 Palestinian Lives

What were once meant to be points of relief have become death traps. Since the start of the controversial aid mechanism backed by Israel and the U.S. on 27 May, more than 400 Palestinians have been killed at or near aid distribution sites across the Gaza Strip, turning the simple act of seeking food into a deadly gamble.

On Wednesday morning alone, 34 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire. Eleven died near Wadi Gaza while waiting for aid, and a home in Al-Maghazi refugee camp was bombed, killing ten. Further south in Khan Younis, a family of four sheltering in tents was wiped out. In Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, an airstrike on a residential building killed at least eight people. Across eastern Gaza and Jabalia, demolition crews flattened Palestinian homes under the cover of ongoing bombardment.

Palestinians say the so-called "Gaza Relief Foundation" is not delivering aid, it is delivering control. Managed without UN oversight, the foundation has become synonymous with humiliation and forced displacement. Survivors describe the scenes as catastrophic: people queuing for bread are gunned down, tents become graves, and hospitals are overwhelmed with no means to treat the wounded.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the killings, calling them "unacceptable" and demanding an immediate, independent investigation. Yet for those under siege, international statements offer little protection. In Gaza, even hunger is now a risk that can cost you your life.
