Massacre at Gaza Beach: 24 Killed in Israeli Strike on Seafront Resort

An Israeli airstrike on Monday evening turned a beachside gathering into a scene of horror, killing 24 Palestinians and injuring many more at the “Al-Baqa” resort in western Gaza. The coastal spot, once a rare refuge for displaced families, was struck without warning, its charred remains now bearing witness to yet another attack on civilians.

Bodies were rushed to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, already overwhelmed by months of war, as medics struggled to treat the wounded. Witnesses described a deafening blast that shattered the calm of the seashore, where families had sought brief respite from the devastation inland.

This latest assault is part of a relentless campaign by Israeli forces that has decimated Gaza’s population and infrastructure. Despite repeated warnings from the United Nations and binding orders from the International Court of Justice, the bombardment continues unabated.

Since 7 October 2023, Gaza has endured what Palestinians and international rights experts describe as a genocide. Over 189,000 have been killed or wounded, most of them women and children, while famine, disease, and displacement deepen the suffering. The strike on Al-Baqa is not an isolated incident; it is the continuation of a war waged on a people with no sanctuary left.
