Over 300 Killed in 48 Hours as Israel Escalates Targeting of Civilians in Gaza

In one of the deadliest escalations since the beginning of its assault on Gaza, Israeli forces committed 26 massacres within just 48 hours, killing more than 300 Palestinians, according to a statement issued by the Government Media Office on Thursday. The toll includes hundreds of additional injuries and numerous missing persons, many of them presumed dead beneath the rubble.

The strikes have primarily targeted densely populated displacement shelters, family homes, marketplaces, and even public spaces where starving civilians were searching for food. Among the dead are a staggering number of women and children, unarmed civilians caught in what observers describe as a deliberate campaign of extermination.

One of the most harrowing attacks was the bombing of Al-Baqa’a beach resort, a rare space where displaced families had gathered to momentarily escape the horrors of war. Other strikes hit homes as families slept, and medical facilities already on the brink of collapse were further crippled by continued bombardment. Medical teams and ambulances remain targeted, while vital supplies are kept from entering the Strip.

The Government Media Office warned that these mass killings reflect a calculated and ongoing policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing. As Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure crumbles and humanitarian needs grow more desperate, Israel’s military campaign shows no signs of restraint, despite repeated international calls for a ceasefire.

The statement condemned the attacks in the strongest terms and urged immediate international intervention. It called on human rights organisations and the broader global community to break their silence and act decisively to stop the bloodshed.

For Palestinians trapped in Gaza, the message is painfully clear: nowhere is safe. And for the world, each hour of inaction further normalises the destruction of a people.
