Fresh evidence has revealed that the massacre at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on 25 August, which left 22 Palestinians dead including journalists, medical workers, and patients, was a calculated attack carried out under direct orders from senior Israeli leaders. The findings confirm that precision-guided tank missiles were fired in two consecutive strikes on the same stairwell, deliberately maximising casualties among those attempting to rescue the wounded.
Among the victims was Reuters photographer Hussam Al-Masri, killed in the first blast. The second strike followed moments later, targeting those rushing to help. Debris analysis and video documentation confirm that guided weapons were used, eliminating any suggestion of an accident. The decision to greenlight the dual-strike operation came from the highest military and political levels, exposing a chain of command directly responsible for orchestrating civilian deaths.
The attack at Nasser Hospital is part of a wider pattern in which hospitals, media workers, and civilians are systematically targeted. Since October 2023, more than 270 journalists have been killed in Gaza, while almost every hospital has been damaged or destroyed. These actions point to a deliberate effort to silence witnesses, collapse vital services, and deepen the humanitarian catastrophe. Calls are now growing louder for international justice mechanisms to act against those responsible, as Gaza continues to endure systematic atrocities that meet the definition of genocide.
