An Israeli attempt to assassinate members of the Palestinian delegation in Doha has been branded a failure, with political leaders stressing that the policy of targeted killings will not force the resistance to surrender its arms. The strike, which took place in the Qatari capital, was described as a reckless move that sought to sabotage ongoing negotiations rather than secure progress.
Officials said the operation highlighted Tel Aviv’s indifference to the fate of its own captives held in Gaza, while simultaneously exposing the growing frustration within Israel’s leadership. The act was denounced as a grave violation of Qatari sovereignty and another example of Israel’s repeated miscalculations.
Palestinian leaders reaffirmed that the question of disarmament is not on the table, insisting that weapons remain a legitimate right under international law and would only be folded into a future national army once the occupation ends. They stressed that any political resolution must rest on five fundamental principles: a permanent ceasefire, full withdrawal, reconstruction, humanitarian relief, and the release of prisoners.
The failed attack was seen as a double defeat for Israel, failing both to eliminate its targets and to undermine the broader talks. Despite continued attempts to crush leadership structures, the resistance signalled that its commitment to self-defence and to securing justice for its people remains unshaken.
