SAFA — Israeli occupation forces intensified attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, in continued violation of the ceasefire agreement.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire towards tents sheltering displaced Palestinians east of Khan Younis.
In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles operating southeast of Deir al-Balah fired smoke and explosive shells near al-Batoun Street, causing panic among civilians, particularly women and children.
Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy machine-gun fire towards areas east of Gaza City and Jabalia.
Heavy Israeli gunfire was also reported east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while Israeli artillery shelled areas west of Rafah.
Israeli naval forces also opened fire off the northern coast of Gaza City.
The Palestinian Fishermen's Committees said Israeli naval forces detained 10 Palestinian fishermen off the Gaza coast after opening fire on their boats.
The attacks followed the killing of five Palestinian civilians in Israeli attacks on Monday, while several others were injured as Israeli ceasefire violations continued across the Strip.
The attacks come amid the continuing impact of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 73,455 Palestinians and injured 174,472 since October 2023, while thousands more remain missing.
