More than 6,000 people were displaced in a single day as Israeli airstrikes pounded Gaza, striking homes, residential towers and even schools that had been sheltering civilians. The bombardment left entire neighbourhoods in ruins, forcing families to flee in panic, many with nowhere to go.
The raids extended far beyond the so-called targeted zones, hitting areas previously marked as “safe.” Children, women and the elderly bore the brunt of the destruction, while the collapse of infrastructure pushed communities into deeper despair. Overcrowding in the south has left thousands trapped inside Gaza City, moving from east to west in desperate search of shelter. Many, unable to secure even the most basic services, have returned to the ruins of their homes and pitched makeshift tents on the rubble.
Amid rising international pressure to halt the offensive, the situation on the ground grows ever more catastrophic. Families displaced again and again show resilience in the face of relentless attacks, holding on to their homes and land despite a humanitarian crisis that worsens with every strike.
