Members of the General Conference of the American Democratic Party called for the cessation of the $ 3.8 billion in military support to "Israel" if the latter proceeded to annex lands of the occupied West Bank.

Members, in a document, sent Saturday to the party conference signed by dozens: “As delegates of the National Democratic Committee to the National Democratic Conference for 2020, we fully support efforts to withhold $3.8 billion in military aid to Israel because its government has announced its intention to annex Palestinian lands, including the Jordan Valley occupied by Israel."

The document called on the members of the conference to support the efforts of the representatives Pramila Jayapal, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, McCallum, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, and others in the Progressive Assembly of Congress, who signed a letter to the US Secretary of State. In the letter, they called on the US government to place conditions and restrictions on the continued military aid to "Israel" in case it captured and stole the Jordan Valley from the Palestinians.

Moreover, the document urged Congress to vote by restricting military assistance to "Israel", in light of the expected Israeli annexation of more Palestinian lands, as this unilateral annexation is illegal under international law and will only endanger the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This move comes as part of efforts made by members of the party conference of Palestinian and Arab origin in cooperation with the progressive wing within the party to impose prior restrictions that prevent "Israel" from annexing parts of the West Bank amid other intensive campaigns in support of the Palestinian right.
