At least 22 people were killed and many more injured on Saturday as airstrikes hit densely populated areas across northern and central Gaza. Emergency teams reported that families were struck in their homes and on the streets, with several civilian vehicles targeted, resulting in multiple fatalities and serious injuries. Hospitals struggled to cope as victims were brought in from various parts of the enclave, underscoring the ongoing strain on medical services already weakened by the humanitarian crisis.
In one incident, a home in a central neighbourhood housing displaced families was destroyed, leaving both martyrs and the wounded. Similar attacks on inhabited residences in Gaza City and Nuseirat camp resulted in further casualties, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the strikes. Civil defence teams emphasised that these operations continue despite the truce, putting civilians at constant risk and violating international law and norms.
Alongside the aerial bombardment, artillery and military vehicle fire continued in eastern districts, causing further destruction to homes and infrastructure. Civil defence officials called on the international community to take urgent action to protect civilians and ensure that humanitarian obligations are upheld. Since the truce came into effect on 11 October 2025, over 300 people have been killed and hundreds more injured, with many families displaced and entire neighbourhoods left in ruins amid the ongoing genocidal war.
