Deaths Continue in Gaza Despite Ceasefire as Hospitals Report New Casualties

Gaza’s hospitals recorded new fatalities over the past 24 hours, underscoring the fragility of the ceasefire that came into force in October. Health officials said several bodies were brought to medical facilities following renewed Israeli strikes, while others were recovered from the ruins of earlier attacks, as emergency teams remain unable to reach many areas due to ongoing dangers and destruction.

According to health authorities, some of the victims were killed in recent targeting, while others had remained trapped beneath rubble for days. Medical services reported dozens of wounded people arriving at hospitals, many requiring urgent care. Officials warned that an unknown number of casualties are still believed to be lying in streets or under collapsed buildings, beyond the reach of ambulances and civil defence crews.

Since the ceasefire began on 11 October 2025, hundreds of people have been killed and more than a thousand injured, despite the agreement intended to halt the violence. The overall death toll since October 2023 has continued to rise sharply, reflecting the cumulative impact of the genocidal war on Gaza’s civilian population. Health workers say repeated violations, including air attacks, shelling, and the targeting of displaced civilians, have left communities living in constant fear and deepened an already catastrophic humanitarian situation.
