Shattyyeh condemns Israeli for its rejection to grant visas to the OHCHR crews

Prime Minister of Palestine condemned, today, Israel for not granting visas to the crews of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)

Mohammed Shtayyeh confirmed that those crews play an important role in Palestine in which they document the Israeli attacks against the Palestinians and their sufferings.

“There are major escalations against the human rights in Palestine, resulting from the settlers’ violence, the increase in settlers and raids into cities, villages, and camps, and the systematic destruction for the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state,” Shtayyeh said to the Head of OHCHR in a meeting via video conference.

Shtayyeh mentioned the Israeli threats, such as closing the accounts of prisoners, considering that an attack against the rights of thousands of Palestinians who were arrested before.

Demolitions of homes and prevention of traveling are other collective punishments.

During the meeting, they agreed to establish a committee aiming to combat the policy of torture inside prisons and detention centers, and the Family Protection Act.

He warned of the Israeli escalated assaults against the Palestinians, and talked about the efforts needed to return the crews of the human rights to the Palestinian lands during Israel’s prevention.

Shtayyeh finally emphasized on the deep cooperation with the Palestinian government and its institutions, considering that it is the best since years.
