Fresh Casualty Reported as Israeli Shelling and Demolitions Continue Across Gaza

A Palestinian man has died from wounds sustained in an Israeli strike earlier this week, as heavy bombardment and large-scale demolitions continued across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday amid the ongoing genocidal war.

Medical sources in central Gaza said Abdullah Abu Mustafa succumbed to injuries suffered after a vehicle was struck near Al-Mazraa School on Salah al-Din Road in Deir al-Balah three days ago. Elsewhere in the central area, emergency crews transferred another wounded civilian to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after reports of live fire west of Nuseirat refugee camp.

Civil defence teams also recovered the remains of a woman from beneath the rubble of a destroyed family home in the town of Al-Zawaida, highlighting the growing difficulties faced by rescue workers attempting to reach victims trapped under collapsed buildings. Recovery operations have become increasingly dangerous as bombardment persists across multiple districts.

Israeli forces carried out further demolitions east of Gaza City while artillery fire intensified in northern and central parts of the enclave. Residents in Khan Younis reported sustained shelling and gunfire targeting eastern neighbourhoods, while additional artillery strikes hit areas east of Deir al-Balah. Surveillance drones continued to circle overhead throughout the day.

The latest attacks come as military operations across Gaza escalate sharply, with entire residential areas repeatedly targeted during what many Palestinians describe as a genocidal war that has devastated civilian life and displaced vast numbers of families. Since the collapse of the previous ceasefire last year, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and many more wounded across the territory.
