SAFA- American actor Mark Ruffalo has sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he welcomed the removal of International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan, saying no political decision can erase Israel's war crimes during the genocide in Gaza.

In a post published Monday on X, Ruffalo said Khan's removal "will not erase the war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip." He added that justice would ultimately prevail and that history would remember Netanyahu for his actions.

"You will not escape justice, and you will not rewrite history," Ruffalo wrote. "You are a deranged killer, Benjamin Netanyahu, and that is how history will always remember you."

On Friday, the Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court relieved Khan of his duties while an investigation into reports of sexual misconduct against him continues.

The International Criminal Court has faced mounting pressure from the United States and Israel following its issuance of arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Army Minister Yoav Gallant over war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against Palestinians in Gaza.
