The Permanent Observer for Palestine to the UN, Riyad Mansour, said that the UN Security Council would discuss, in its session, next Tuesday, the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian cause.
“Palestine’s delegation is in constant contact with members of the UN Security Council to consult about the session, which will cover the global, regional, and Palestinian developments and what is related to the new US administration,” Mansour added in a press statement.
He stressed that President Mahmoud Abbas's initiative for collective international action, leading to an international peace conference, will be presented, besides the efforts being made with the Quartet parties to restore the committee and restore its role.
