SAFA — US Representative Rashida Tlaib has called on the Trump administration to end Washington’s “complicity” in Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza, stressing that Palestinians continue to be killed despite the ceasefire agreement.
“The genocide is still happening. There was never a ceasefire,” the Michigan Democrat wrote on X on Sunday.
Tlaib said Palestinian children continue to bear the brunt of Israeli attacks, including those involving US-made weapons.
“Children are being killed with American made bombs, and those that live are traumatized forever,” she said, urging the administration to end what she described as its complicity in “these atrocious acts of ethnic cleansing.”
Her remarks accompanied footage reportedly showing Israeli forces raiding a kindergarten in Gaza, leaving around 200 young children trapped inside amid gunfire.
Tlaib’s comments come as Israeli attacks continue despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025.
According to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli violations since the ceasefire have killed 1,369 Palestinians and injured 4,627 others.
The overall Palestinian death toll since October 2023 has meanwhile risen above 73,000, with more than 174,000 people injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
Tlaib, one of the most outspoken critics of US support for Israel in Congress, has repeatedly called for an end to Washington’s military support for Israel and accused the US government of enabling Israeli violations against Palestinians.
Her latest remarks renew pressure on Washington over its continued military support for Israel as Palestinians continue to be killed and injured in Gaza despite the ceasefire.
