DaysOfPal — Israeli forces continue to launch airstrikes, artillery attacks, and demolitions across the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire, the United Nations warned Wednesday, as Israeli restrictions and severe funding shortages obstruct humanitarian aid to Palestinians struggling to survive the devastation of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for UN Secretary-General António Guterres, said Israeli attacks were recorded across multiple areas of Gaza on Tuesday and Wednesday, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, building demolitions, gunfire from the sea, and other armed incidents.
Most of the attacks occurred west of the so-called “yellow line,” which marks areas of Israeli military deployment under the ceasefire arrangements.
Haq stressed that civilians and civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times, as Israeli military operations continue despite the agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Israeli Restrictions Obstruct Humanitarian Aid
The UN warned that humanitarian assistance reaching Gaza remains far below what is needed to meet the population's basic needs.
Haq said UN agencies and humanitarian partners are continuing efforts to deliver essential supplies, but Israeli restrictions and insufficient funding are severely limiting relief operations.
Among the obstacles are restrictions on the entry of critical materials, including engine oil and spare parts needed to maintain equipment and support essential services.
Humanitarian access restrictions also affect more than 64% of the Gaza Strip, preventing aid organizations from reaching large areas and delivering assistance to Palestinians in need.
The restrictions compound the humanitarian catastrophe caused by Israel's genocidal war, which has devastated civilian infrastructure and left Palestinian families struggling to secure food, clean water, shelter, and medical treatment.
Israeli Ceasefire Violations Kill 1,501 Palestinians
The UN warning comes amid repeated Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025.
According to Gaza's health authorities, Israeli attacks have killed 1,501 Palestinians and wounded another 5,323 since the agreement began.
The continuing casualties expose the deadly reality facing Palestinians despite the formal cessation of hostilities.
While Israeli military operations continue, restrictions on humanitarian access are preventing relief organizations from delivering assistance on the scale required.
The UN reiterated the obligation to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, as Palestinians across Gaza continue to face attacks, displacement, and severe humanitarian deprivation despite the ceasefire.
