Israel targets Palestinian Jordan Valley, says a report

The northern Palestinian Jordan Valley has witnessed, since the beginning of this year, arbitrary measures, represented by more notifications to demolish homes and facilities and uprooting thousands of trees, said the National Bureau for Land Defense and Resistance to Settlement in its weekly report.

The report, a copy of which obtained by Safa, stated that Einoun Nature Reserve, east of Tubas, was the direct target of the Israeli occupation forces, as they uprooted and vandalized over ten thousand forest trees, in addition to 300 olive trees that were planted eight years ago.

It emphasized that the occupation also sprayed the places of uprooted forest trees with pesticides to use them for military training before transforming them later for settlement activities.

Moreover, the occupation authorities stormed Khirbet al-Maita in Wadi al-Malih and handed 20 notices to stop construction in a large number of residences and facilities, which include tents and livestock sheds owned by 19 families from the village.

The occupation dismantled 8 livestock sheds in the Burj area in the northern Jordan Valley for five families under the pretext of being in nature reserves, and demolished a residential tent and a sheepfold, and seized them in the al-Malih area.
