The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria has documented the death of 487 female Palestinian refugee victims since the beginning of the war in Syria.
The Group stated on Monday in a report, in conjunction with International Women's Day, that the aforementioned number constitutes about 16% of the total casualties during the conflict period between March 2011 and February 7, 2021.
The group revealed that 243 refugee women died as a result of the bombing, 68 as a result of the siege and the lack of medical care in the Yarmouk camp, 28 women died because they were targeted by sniper bullets, 37 died after the bombings, while 24 victims died from a gunshot wound and 26 drowned.
5 refugee women were executed in the field, 34 under torture in the Syrian prisons, and 20 for other reasons, including slaughter, assassination, suicide, health crises, burning, suffocation, and bullets.
