Dozens of Israeli settlers on Sunday morning broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque amid heavy police presence and tight restrictions.
Jerusalem's Islamic Awqaf Department said that the Israeli police allowed 25 Jewish settlers to storm al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning.
The settlers performed Talmudic rituals, roamed al-Aqsa courtyards, and enraged the guards and worshipers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police forces tightened entry restrictions on Palestinian worshipers and prevented entry to Jerusalemites living outside the Old City.
For the tenth day in a row, the Israeli authorities continue to impose a strict closure on Jerusalem and the entrances to the Old City under the pretext of limiting the spread of the coronavirus.
