The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned Palestinian martyrs who were killed on Wednesday night by Israeli occupation special forces during a raid in the West Bank city of Jenin.

The movement said in a statement, a copy of which obtained by Safa, "We salute the Palestinian security officers who resisted the Israeli aggression on the city along with Palestinian freedom fighters. This is the role that the Palestinian masses expect from the Palestinian security services in the face of the Israeli occupation."

"We stress that the Israeli occupation and colonist gangs will pay a price for their continuous crimes. The raids, arrest campaigns, and intimidation of Palestinian civilians by the Israeli occupation while allowing Israeli colonists to steal Palestinian land requires a comprehensive resistance to achieve national liberation and end the occupation of the Palestinian land," it added.

"We offer our consolation to the families of the martyrs who were killed in Jenin and Nablus as they were defending their people; their blood will remain the fuel of the Palestinian struggle to liberate the Palestinian lands and holy sites," it concluded.
