The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called for holding the Palestinian Authority accountable for the assassination of the political activist Nezar Banat as it is responsible for the security forces that killed Banat, and the repressive actions against the protestors.

In a statement, the Popular Front called for dismissing the current government, forming an independent committee to investigate the crime and announce the results, and taking the necessary procedures to hold the perpetrators of the crime accountable. 

It also confirmed the Palestinians' right to peaceful protests, demanding accountability for whoever hinders the application of those rights. 

It called for activating the Freedoms Committee approved by the Cairo agreements, releasing the political detainees, apologizing to the Palestinian people for the attacks committed against the peaceful protestors. 

It urged to form a national united leadership, and a national committee to reconstruct Gaza, supplu the citizens with the basic needs, and provide jobs.
