47 Israeli violations committed against Palestinian journalists in July

Ministry of Media documented 47 violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian journalists and media institutes last month as they targeted 34 journalists, including 7 female journalists, more than 7 medical staff, 3 media pages, and a printing shop.

They also shot metal bullets towards 12 journalists, inclduing Anadolu Agency's photographer Nedal Shtayyeh, and the journalists Mohammed Abo Thabet and Ayman Al-Nobani.

The ministry documnted 12 cases of detention and violations inside the Israeli jails as the occupation forces arrested the prisoner Nasir Abo Thabet, Khaled Al-Zebda, Wafa's photographer Mshhour Al-Wehwah, Palestine TV's photographer Eyad Al-Hashlamon, and the photographer Sari Jaradat. 

They attacked Reuters' photogarher Ammar Awas, Palestine TV's correspondent Liwa Abo Rmila, Ma'an Agency's correspondent Maisaa Abo Ghazaleh, Al Jazeera Mubasher network's staff which included Ranad Al-Sharbati and Ghassan Abo Eid. They also repressed the photographer of Quds News Network Abdallah Bahash while covering events in the Al-Aghwar Al-Shamlaiyah, according to the ministry.

They prevented more than 7 news crews from covering events, including Alghad TV whose journalist Raed Al-Sharif was suffocated from gas, and hindered the work of a group of journalists who were covering events in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem.

The ministry documented the Israeli forces' raid into Al-Nebras library in Dheisha camp in southeastern Bethlehem, destroyed and seized the equipment of the library. The total damage was estimated at $115.000.

It also considered the occupation forces' continuation to storm the printing shops and media institutes a policy that aims at hiding the Palestinian story and confirmed the importance of protecting the journalists and media institutes, and implementing the International Security Council article (2222) to guarantee chasing the occupation forces and punish them legally.
