OCHA: IOF confiscates 57 Palestinian-owned buildings in two weeks

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Palestine reported that the Israeli regime demolished or confiscated 57 Palestinian-owned buildings in the West Bank in two weeks, arguing that they are unauthorized.

It In a report that covers the events in the period between July 27 and August 8, OCHA said that the demolition orders made 97 Palestinians, including 67 children, homeless, and harmed other 240.

17 buildings were seized, which resulted in displacing 27 Palestinians, including 19 children, OCHA added.

It also noted that 28 Palestinians, including 21 children, were displaced after the Israeli regime demolished six buildings in Ramallah.

It also mentioned that 12 buildings were destroyed in Al-Quds city, including 5 buildings used to secure their daily livelihood.

During two weeks, the Israeli regime forces shot and injured 764  Palestinians by gas canister and rubber bullets, according to OCHA. 

It also informed that the regime forces committed 92 cases of detention, and arrested 115 Palestinians, including 11 children, in the West Bank, Al-Quds and Al-Khalil.

The report also confirmed that the colonian settlers damages no more than 40 trees and five vehicles owned by Palestinians in the West Bank.
