The Democratic front for the Liberation of Palestine called on all Palestinian institutes and forces to shed light on the prisoners’ cause by adopting a national startegy to make it a local and international public issue.

The member in the political office of the Democratic Front Saleh Nasser confirmed that the prisoners’ cause is central.

In a statement he delivered during a meeting of held by the Independent Commission for Human Rights about the dire conditions the Palestinian administrative detainees face in the Israeli regime priaons, Nasser stated that armed resistance groups participating in the hostititlies are war prisoners protected by the 3rd and 4thd Geneva Convention.

He informed that the Israeli occupation state is the only state that practices the administrative detention policy, noting that it released more than 700 decision of administrative detentionsince the beginning of the year.

He confirmed that the Israeli regime violates all rights of the Palestinian prisoners, and commits the worst crimes against them without any consideration to the international laws and conventions.

“The priso are are being tortued by all ways. They detain children, torture them, impose house arrest on them, prevent them from basic needs and medicine, and impose on them solitary confinement, Nasser added, 

He also noted that the Israeli occupation seeks to make the prisoners’ cause illegal and to consider the prisoners criminals and territorists.
