The Journalist Support Committee condemned the Israeli occupation's crime of injuring the Palestinian journalist and photographer Asem Shehade in the face by a live bullet.

It confirmed on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately fire guns towards the press crews. As a result, the photographer Shehadeh was injured.

It called for holding the Israeli occupation forces who attack the Palestinian journalists accountable so they cannot escpapre from punishment.

It also condemned the mount of vioaltions and attacks that affected the Palestinian journalists, confirming that, since 2000, 47 journalists have been killed and hundreds injured. The latest was the journalist Yousef Abo Hussein who was killed during the last aggression on Gaza in May.

It noted that Israel committed about 700 violations of media freedoms in the Occupied Palestinian territories since the beginning of the year, and 101 violations in Gaza in the last aggression.
