The Dutch capital, Amsterdam, on Sunday witnessed a demonstration in support of Palestine, and in solidarity with the rights of Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.
The demonstrators gathered in Dam Square in Amsterdam, in response to a call by the Palestinian Community Endowment Foundation in Holland(PGNL), aiming to focus on violations faced by detainees in Israeli prisons.
One of the demonstrators told Anadolu Agency that "the Palestinian detainees were tortured, under harsh health conditions."
He added, "There is no minimum level of medical care for detainees in prisons, and the medical negligence to which detainee Israa Jaabis is exposed is the clearest evidence."
The demonstrators condemned Tel Aviv's refusal to allow the prisoner Jaabis, who has been detained for 6 years, to meet her son, Mutassim, without giving reasons.
The demonstration was accompanied by a photo exhibition recounting the suffering of Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons.
