The number of prisoners on hunger strike in the occupation prisons rose to seven after the prisoner Mohammed Al-Ardah entered the strike yesterday, Monday, protesting against the harsh conditions of his isolation and the penalties imposed on him by the administration of Ashkelon prison since he was transferred to it 6 days ago.
Six other prisoners are continuing their open hunger strike, refusing their administrative detention. The oldest of whom is Kayed al-Fasfous, who has been on strike for 82 days.
The striking prisoners suffer from very difficult health conditions. Their condition is getting worse day by day, as they suffer from a lack of salt and fluids in their bodies, severe fatigue and stress and headaches.
The Ofer Military Court on Sunday rejected the appeal submitted by the Prisoners Committee to appeal the administrative detention decision issued against the prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous, who is continuing his hunger strike for the 82nd day.
