Israeli Scheme to Double Number of Settlers in Al-Aghwar

Kan 11 reported that the Israeli occupation’s government seeks to double the number of settlers in Al-Aghwar during the upcoming 4 years.

The report said that Ze’ev Elkin, the Israeli occupation’s minister of housing and construction, intends to file the scheme to get the occupation’s government approval soon. It also said that the scheme does not include the construction of new settlements, but the expansion of the current ones.

The number of settlers in Al-Aghwar is estimated at 6000, according to Israeli statistics.

Observers see this scheme as an introduction to the annexation of Al-Aghwar, especially that the occupation announced that it pursues to annex it and consider it as its borders with Jordan.
