Foreign Ministry calls on ICC to start immediate investigation into Israel's killing of a Palestinian

After the Israeli army killing this morning of a Palestinian man in the north of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to start an immediate investigation into Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Soldiers shot dead this morning Saddam Bani Odeh, 26, in Tubas during an army arrest operation in the city.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry condemned the killing of Bani Odeh and held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the killing.

It also held the international community and the United Nations organizations responsible for its consequences and repercussions due to their “dubious silence and inaction, which encapsulates the international attitude towards the crimes of the occupation and its settlers.”

The Foreign Ministry called on the ICC “to break its silence and immediately begin its investigations into the crimes of the occupier and settlers.”
